Recently I have been doing many solo runs in lower level dungeons and I find that the runs are a lot slower (obviously) and that it is often frustrating to spend 5 minutes on a level to merely just receive a orange or green drop from the boss. Upon many runs like this I pondered upon the question: what is the point in soloing ?
Based on the fact that drops are completely random and independent, how is it that you could have more chance getting a pink when you are soloing compared to when you are in a full group ?
This is also assuming that drops are random and independent for each player, and not random and independent for the entire group.
Example: A pink drops 1% of the time for each player, then each player has a 1% chance of receiving it (derp). Or the alternative, a pink drops 1% of the time for the whole group, meaning each player has a 0.2% chance of receiving it... The second situation is the only viable reason in which soloing makes sense.
I know its a simple question but I found it hard to explain lol...
