Also if u attack with them you'll notice the attack damage is increased if u have buffs to that specific element.
When attacking with the chain you can even hear the elemental damage sound that u might know from elemental sets.
I didn't get my hands on blood weapons yet, but from all I've seen there's no reason for them to behave differently.
