It's the same with all classes, so with your example, Firestorm from a mage doesn't hit 550 either. I don't have to have 10-20-30k pvp kills to know how the mechanics of the game work. I am not going to continue to argue with you. Bottom line, I was correct in my initial assessment.

I also have a couple of kills on my bird and I second everything Crim said. If you think birds are weak or that they cant kill you are probably spoiled from playing with the ridiculously strong elite bow set the past year. Now it's time to learn how to play your class properly.

I never knew how to effectively use a bird before (not even when I read physiologics bird guide)
But at least I'm not that used to me dodging, considering a 74 with a 73 set doesnt dodge as much as a 76 bird with elite swift set
Now that ik whats waiting for me at endgame, I'm motivated to lvl up!

Endgame Nerf
It isn't like the sewers, but it still isn't what you think. You would be surprised how much experience 5k kills brings into a player. Also, you probably haven't played without an Elite set on a bird. I could never instant kill with my basic Swift recurve but I always knew I was still over powered (4000 kills and around 1000 deaths this cap all in FFA CTF without rushing or spawning) plus I almost never dodged (gotta love level 7 evasion). Now people will see that birds don't need game dodge to kill in FFA, but manual dodge by keeping your range and using dat cover like a true op.

Imo the nerf is a really good thing, because
-less dodge means less luck factor, and bears become more vulnerable and birds more squishy again, like in fang and earlier caps, where noone complained about it
-less crit (especially not 100+ crit for mages n birds) leads to way less oneshots and makes games more interesting (and gives sets like fiery a new advantage over savage, cause of fiery's more crit and not both 100+ buffed with mages like it was before nerf)
-Sets keep their base damage, so birds are still deadly and fast with swift elite
In conclusion, birds need to learn how to play again, more mages are using fiery set, and bears are still a bit op, especially when they use dex sets. The 90 dmg buff allows them to use every set and still dealing tons of dmg, this is the only thing that should be nerfed in future (60 dmg would be op enough imo).
But, in general, a very good job by Spacetime so far

now show us few skill damage of a pure into mage, with full set and elite branch (a 2h weapon, necessary cuz we comparing with another 2h weapon) and then we will add +45 damage with the values. After that we will compare these value.
