I have a few Holiday pinks that I'm wondering if I should sell or hang onto. Will they be worth more after the maps are no longer available?

Some items will be enjoyable every day of the year. I think Holiday Hack is a great sword, and the Snowball Launcher will always be a hit.
And we can always do Christmas in July next summer...
Quick economics lesson. Supply and demand, it depends how bad the people wnat the items and how many of them are available. The more people want them the more demand = higher prices, the less of the item = more rare = higher prices. There will only be a set number of these items once this event ends, but the amount of people playing this game is definitely going to grow big in my opinion, which helps demand-wise, but these items might not be wanted right away, it might be until next christmas or a few years for these items to go WAY up. That is as long as they dont bring them same items back next year. It's a gamble either way, you just gotta do what you think is right.
i personally am selling all my CHRISTMAS PINKS, not purples
however i am KEEPING ALL OF MY HALLOWEEN ITEMS, yes all of them,
becuase people are farming toy man about 100x than what they did to smackolantern, making them much rarer
I unload a Halloween item or two periodically. I enjoy seeing them out there: Cat shields, brooms, dolls, etc.
I imagine I'll do the same with Christmas. Haven't really farmed it hard yet. Too much holiday/work stuff. Hopefully it'll be around most of January. If not, oh well, I do have some already. I'll probably unload them periodically also, assuming they're not common. I'm totally willing to hoard if they are :P I probably have endless characters to stick candycane stuff, etc on anyways. Like Pharcyde, I do pick up the occasional cheap XMas item. Sitting in shop is tons easier than farming. Haven't spent even close to 1.5 mil though. LOL.
I don't if this is true across the board, but unlike the Halloween drops, the Christmas drops are actually pretty decent, compared to other items at the same level, especially in the lower levels. For example, I have a level 15 gingerbread shield that's really good compared to what else I can find for shields at or around level 15. Whereas the Halloween items tended to be fun-looking, but comparatively useless. There are also considerably more distinct Christmas items than Halloween items.
I also don't have stats for this, but I think the pink and purple Christmas drops are slightly rarer as a percentage than the Halloween ones were. They're also available at a wider level range (10-50, by 5s) than Halloween items were. So even though there may be more people farming them, there may not be as huge of a "glut" as you might otherwise think.
i have farmed 3 pinks of each type of those winter items... hoping they sells good in summer...

It may also depend on what is in store for us next Christmas and whether those items are/look better.
By then we might be up to a L60 cap
Halloween items dropped purples and pinks on every boss. I think during Halloween I only had one boss not drop a purple/pink.
Halloween boss was also really fast to get to and really fast to kill.
So there is still quite a bit of Halloween items out there.
Christmas Items do not drop nearly as commonly as Halloween items, for Pink and Purple wise that is.
Its easy to get to the Christmas boss but he takes forever to kill.
So that alone is enough to balance it out ^^^. I am hording everything I can get my hands on. Even lvl 50 greens. I have 980 Holiday Items horded and counting. Halloween items weren't horded on such a massive level as well, so that either can be good or bad.
Good: Hundreds of Holiday items will sit dormant and not in the public eye, so panic sets in and demand raises while supply stays the same.
Bad: Some of the horded items would of been liquidated during event, so forever out of the public eye. So supply will always be a little higher then it would be if they were not horded.
There is tons of new players entering the game too. In my experience as a MMO player, when someone misses out on a limited time item it then drives them mad and they strive to get them. So Holiday Items is litterally like crack for new users.
So I say hold on to your items! The price will steadily raise slowly. If it drops for any reason its likely that someone dumped their massive hord.
(I currently know of 7 players who have 1000+ horded Holiday items).
lol i said u: u bought all my purples from shop lol!
i can sell u directly when ya want..

What I think may end up interesting are the Non-L50 pinks.
Sure, the supply of L10 Pinks, etc, will be extremely low. But will there be much demand?
Low level Christmas pinks such as level 10 and 15 are worth keeping
Launcher level 15 is like 400k in CS
