Why would you choose to implement something like this rather than just raise the gold cap? All you would have to do is raise the cap to 1 billion, and stick a few commas in the display screens to help make the numbers more readable. Even the craziest no-life player isn't going to be making trades in the billions, so that new cap would be essentially "infinite" for PL's economy as it stands. And you wouldn't have to make new gold-convertible items just to move money around.

It's obvious that there are many scammers in the community. It's almost a monthly event that someone is scammed out of 30 mill trying to buy a precious 71 elite, etc.. I've discovered a simple (god forbid excessive amounts of coding) and easy way to cut scams in half WITHOUT altering the gold cap!

But first, Here is a video of the hassle and nervous trust required to purchase an Elite Marlin Sword. (Not everyone is as lucky as I am to find a decent seller. He could have just as easily been a scammer. You will notice many opportunities for scam during the video. The original, uncut video was 20 minutes long.) Enjoy.

The Ore

My idea is to significantly reduce the risk in purchasing/selling items that are worth more than the gold cap of 10 mill, as well as save a great amount of time and effort in the process. I believe of a material called an ore. However, this material is not used for crafting. They are an addition to the store. (The icon would be similar to this and the tab would be called Ores)


What is an ore?

Ores will be used to make large trades without the hassle of a middle man or fifty twinks. Each ore will be purchasable for gold and will liquidate for near their purchase price. They are tradeable, stashable, etc. You will now be able to store your gold as ores and keep them either on char or in your stash. None of this 50twink/transfer gold buisness.

The Silver Ore

The silver ore will be worth the least, however still useful in trades from 11 mill to 20 mill.

Purchase price: 2,505,000 OR 2,500,000+3 plat
Liquidation price: 2,500,000

The Gold Ore

The gold ore will be worth more than the silver ore, and are useful in trades from 15 mill to 30 mill.

Purchase price: 5,010,000 OR 5,000,000+5 plat
Liquidation price: 5,000,000

DIAMOND ORE

The diamond ore is the most precious type of ore and can be used for great trades of 17.5 mill to 40 mill!

Purchase price: 7,515,000 OR 7,500,000+7 plat
Liquidation price: 7,500,000

Cost to buy- 11,000 gold OR 1,000 gold+ 2 plat
Liquidation Price- 9k

Stone Ore, great for trades of 100k-500k.
Cost to buy- 98,000 gold or 50,000 gold+ 30 plat.
Liquidation Price- 40k
