I am not mad about it. I state a simple fact, something that i believe should be the standard on here. I think that everyone deserve a chance to get something thats exclusive and be properly informed about it. If these vanities were actually awesome, and u did not take a part in this contest cos you knew you can only win gold or grimm, wouldn't you be annoyed then?

Also should we now all take a part in every single contest in this section cos Sts may decide to drop some extra and limited prices on the top of those already stated?

My point is, i hardly care about these vanities, but in the future i would like this to be properly announced in the case there is actualy something i may like. That's the whole issue. It suprises me that you do not see that.

You forgot on the main purpose of all of this!
Events made by STS have allways announced prizes before event start and most of players only calculate what minimum have to do to obrain maximum profit. If they realize that profit is too low, they make 14 complaining posts on forum, than run event hard and spend tons of plat and after end of event they go back to forum and make another 17 complaining posts about "event was absolutely bad, boring and I dont earn enought".

This is contest made by REALLY small group of PLAYERS, who want to support pure fun, challenge and friendship based contest. You can easily calculate, that if prizes will be split to all players who participate, you dont get back even potions/ankhs consts. But who cares! Everybody can participate, but those who see only the cash prize didnt start.

Sts has decided that they support this activity which means they support players, who want to play the whole game contest. Lot of new players have opportunity to experience old time runs, learn from old members and open path to enjoy this game more than ever (in other words STS has new long-term costumers). Is it bad? Or unfair! Absolutely not!

The only one who complain about this now are the lazy, arogant. "I will be the first" - everybody can say that, but only few do it!

Sorry, but i dont think i should go throguh entire thread to find out that there will be something else on the table. The main post should mention this, and it did not, so players may not be happy. I did not participate in this cos gold or grimm eggs are not an issue for me, but had i known there will be exclusive vanities given out, even recoloured, i may have given this a go. I find this lack of information very unfair to the rest of us as i think everyone should be given a chance.

The way I see it, as with any events, be they initiated by STS, guild or forumer, it's a matter of judgment call. You saw the gold and Grimm eggs, I saw opportunity to run a whole lot of elite with guildies when elite zones are dead in terms of farming value. That's what made me check this thread whenever it popped up on New Posts. That's how I found out Remiem had promised a unique gift to all who complete the challenge. There was no specific mention that it was going to be vanities, heck maybe even STS had no idea what to give at that time. This isn't their event, see? But I'm not in this for gold and Grimms, I just wanted to be in it. Others saw and decided differently, but that's their call. Week 1 coincided with the Gauntlet event. Some decided to run Gauntlet for the banner, some decided not to and run this event for whatever reason: gold, Grimm, friends, fun, achievement, guild pride, and so on.

This isn't STS event. They should've organized one to bring new blood to elite zones, but they didn't. People who enjoy running elite organize this, not STS. STS decided what goes on Announcement and they put their own event and prizes there. Is that the organizer's fault then?

Some limited, exclusive items may have more value to us than the pool of 30m, for a portion of which u took a part in this. ^_^

Exactly! There's no reason why we have to tell anyone about secret additional prizes! We've never not paid out the winnings we've announced either! Appel hit the nail on the head!!!

We said if you complete them all we had a surprise reward!

People that know us would know that a statement like that means something... Also if you think about it one of the main reasons we love this game is the close relationship between the devs and the players. It's one of the main reasons we support and love playing AL!

People who were interested in running this whether it be to help their guild, show their personal elite running skills, or to get the "secret prize", will get this vanity for their effort BEFORE the reward was announced, not after.

STS = everything available in the game including exclusive items. Nothing was said until now.

Skimming through the dozens of pages of screenshots taken for this event you can see people with nekro and whims participating, also timed run lb names, people with imbued gear and arcane ring and mythic pendants. People for whom a portion of the 30m prize pool holds no value. But run they did. They chose to participate.

But you are right. I too see no point in furthering this. We agree to disagree. I have guildies asking for runs. We need to secure our vanities. ^_^

Seeing as the prize here is a VANITY, it DOESNT alter gameplay for anyone who has or doesn't have said item, if the item were a piece of gear, it'd be different. No one complains about Leaderboard banners not being tradeable, so there's no issue here, either you did the work or you didn't.

I was responding to Jirk.. not you. I meant no offence if you had found one. Overall, I agree with you, yet I would appreciate to be told about exlusive items being a part of reward at the time when I still have a chance to participate. Good luck Ilhanna! ^_^

Not only are we not running for the prizes we created and put up the prizes with our own effort and gold so our guildies have something to do to A) stay busy while waiting for content B) make new friends and run more elites c) get ready for the cap :^}

... and yes... I won't be missing any maps and will run most many many times.

Secret prize, in my opinion this can only mean two things if it comes from sts,
A) a banner which would hard to make for an elite running contest.
B) a vanity.

I went for this secret prize keeping in mind that altough I hoped for a vanity I could end up with a lighter pocket and a crappy item, nobody was forbidden to do the same in this contest.

To all of you complaining, you have any idea who is organizing this event? Who is having sleepless nights inputing data instead of having fun playing the game? How much they asked STS to make some kind of reward for a non-official PVE event since every contest now is PVP (strange since STS says the game focus is PVE right)?

They are doing a wonderfull event, giving a boost to PVE since it has been so dead lately and you guys complaint because you couldn't be bothered to lose 30min to run those first 2 week maps?

Nobody knew before week 3 that it was going to be a vanity, all they knew is that it would be a "secret prize" and even so they run!

Makes me sick to see some of those posts. You guys should show a litle more respect towards the people who put their time into making this contest possible instead of crying and disrespect their hard work.

The purpose of this contest was to give the PvE players an opportunity to run missed elite maps, to grow together as a community, and to strengthen the bonds within the PvE guilds. The StS prize is merely a token given to those who best represent this concept, meaning the people who ran it from the beginning regardless of what was awarded.

It has been amazing for <Enigmatic> to participate, and we are closer than ever partaking on this journey! Thank you to everyone who is running and enjoying the month.

Enter and I were taking part in Gauntlet event instead of this, with specific prices clearly stated. Now, should we be told half way through this that we are getting extra exclusive vanities on the top of that, and also that everyone who did not join before cannot join now? Absolutely no.
