I doubt a shard will be involved in new mythics, first they are mythic and it is arcane, second fibus said no new mythic ingredient drops from chests. Though I do imagine shards will have another purpose somewhere down the road. Still I doubt they will be easy to farm, and for our guild yes 43 mythics should be a waste. For many others though that will not be able to run elite maps like we do, 43 mythics will be for them.
