What's the purpose for crafting larger crates. Is it just for the lower platinum cost how's the event or do you have a better chance of getting higher level gear?

What's the purpose for crafting larger crates. Is it just for the lower platinum cost how's the event or do you have a better chance of getting higher level gear?
It's because massive/large crates have toor/gold toor. That's why they get crafted.

And fairly certain the three types have different lot tables, but I can't seem to find the post. Maybe in the Announcement section on the Ren crates?

All ren'gol crates have Toor, fang, lunar, ruby, blood, fossil, shard, mari, and the legendary items
Large ren'gol crates ALSO have l43 mythic armor
Massive ren'gol crates ALSO have l43 mythic belts and gold toor

Regular ren'gol crates DO NOT HAVE l43 mythic belts or armor. They do have toor, mari, shard, fossil, l46 legendary, plat, gold...
Large ren'gol crates have all of the above AND l43 mythic armor. These are the ONLY crates that have l43 mythic armor.
Massive ren'gol crates have all of the above (except l43 mythic armor) AND l43 mythic belts AND golden toor.
