Planar arena farming is alive and well

I feel it's important for me to inform the good community that I looted an arcane fossil from the planar arena today.

When I first mentioned to my guild that I planned on farming the arena I was met with both laughter and ridicule.

"Nothing drops from there anymore"
"You're wasting your time dude"

Well I didn't let their negativity deter me. I farmed 50 crates which were mostly junk but I did get 10 ankhs and the coveted fossil.

I believed it and I achieved it!

Getting Fossil in 50 runs is pretty lucky. I know many people, myself included, that have done thousands of runs and did not get a Fossil.

I don't want to sound bad, but Fossil now is like 400-500K? You can get that money in like 20 runs in new maps, and don't even have to rely on luck.

Still tho, I like how you follow your dreams, keep going.

Yes I agree with the fact that it's pretty lucky and that the fossil is now pretty cheap comparatively. It's not worth the time. 1 minute and 20 secs average with a pt doesn't get you the gold as fast as farming endgame maps do.

Yeah, end game maps are just better to farm in any way you look at them. I think that's a good thing actually, as much as I liked farming Arena.

Maybe STS will make a new Arena if we protest hard enough?

Is my sig showing? Huh, not here on tapa xD Yeah I cranked that out while waiting on someone else making my sig, I preferred mine even tho it looks bad. The arena is fun for pushing yourself in speed killing the bosses, the loot though... I don't even normally pick up that chest.

Well now that I have established the drop rate to be 1 in every 50. I think I will be able to craft nekro in a few weeks. Start picking up those chests dude!

Unfortunantly this is not how statistics works. If I were to go to arena, open one chest, somehow be lucky enough to loot a fossil, by your logic the drop rate would be 1 out of 1, or 100% drop rate.

Unless you are extremely lucky (such as yourself), running arena is a complete waste of time compared to new map. And If you are lucky, might as well run new map and loot mire and arcane gear which is worth more then fossil and vials anyway.

If u wanna have a good statistic, you will have to loot 10 fossils and get the average chest count.

I rather make 500k an hour in raid than grinding arena chests to probably loot an arc fossil and have to sell it. If fossil drops every 50 runs people would already stay in arena with 4 chars to loot a ton of them and price would decrease fast bc nobody needs fossils accept the few who craft nekro, which cant be many bc of missing vials.

I had a dream.......I had a dream where I want to craft Nekro! So I went to Arena and farmed, farmed, farmed. Alone.
So I tried (in my dream) to lure people to farm with me, because is so empty there, so lonely there......wait for me Nekro, You’ll be mine!

Than I woke up and run Esg, Mausoleum, Infested with good loot. :P

You may see me in there a few times. Why???..you may ask. I take lower levels in so they can get aps. I sometimes secretly wish for a vial to sell but that's not going to happen. They don't even drop in planar tombs these days and I feel sorry for the level 41+ who desperately want to craft Nekro.
