I understand AL has a bigger player base, but if you bring out more events in PL people are much more likely to play and in turn brings in more money. I know many who would for sure play for some NEW vanities!

Actually pvp was half the game before elites at lower levels, enchants, and various other changes and adds. Twink pvp required gold, and to make gold you had to have a main or high enough level to farm. Simple maths here. Not saying pve isnt big, but PL used to be pvp tbh.

Please stop lying. The game was active in the good old days because pvp flourised. Games like Fortnite and PUBJ are popular because they are soley pvp based. The fact remains that pvp games are always more popular to the gaming audience.
Nobody wants to spent their precious free time mindlessly killing computer generated bots and acting like they're having a good time. That's what PVE in this game has become.
The issue is that PL gets grindy real quick and the graphics arent that good which turns away lots of players. Ive only ever seen a few new players stay for late game.
