The Scholar's Mystery Unfolds...
Legends everywhere thought that they'd explored all there was to see in the Elder Woods, but Scholar Gevyn has arrived on behalf of the Temple of Scrolls to learn the fate of the group exploring the Elder Woods' uncharted areas.
Should you accept your mission, you'll brave the new wilds of the Elder Woods in hopes of learning the fate of the lost explorers, and earning some rare and unique treasures along the way.
The "Lost Expedition" is a permanent addition to the Elder Woods Campaign!

- Go bonkers with the 'Voyager's Dueling Set' in 1v1 PvP that restricts item swapping, armor and helmet equipment (only).
Getting Started
Visit Scholar Gevyn on the docks of Berylline Bay to accept the Lost Expedition starting quest. You'll be tasked with collecting clues from the expedition within the forested areas of the Elder Woods. Once accomplished, complete the quest to unlock the ability to loot new Lost Expedition Chests from bosses (loot below).
Questline
Meet with various NPCs to progress through the story of the lost Expedition, unlock new items, recipes, and more.
Scholar Gevyn
After starting the campaign, follow Scholar Gevyn's questiline to earn Expedition Keys which can be used to open Lost Expedition Chests.
Complete Scholar Gevyn's quests and put on the Lost Expedition armor set (armor, helmet, and weapon) to unlock Dahl's questline.
Dahl
Dahl is a man at arms, hired to escort the scholarly contingent of the Lost Expedition. They all died and now Dahl is wracked with guilt. Visit him on the side of Berylline Bay opposite Scholar Gevyn to start his questline. Completing it will earn you the Impermeable Set, allowing you to survive the new Poison Caverns area.
Complete Dahl's quests to unlock Keane's questline.
Keane
Keane is here because she has heard of a secret society of duelists who meet one on one, away from the prying eyes of the Temple of Scrolls, and without 'Honor,' to see who really knows their stuff. Follow her questline to earn the Duelist Armor which unlocks a new restricted PvP mode (more below).
The New Areas
The Poison Caverns
Enter the Poison Caverns through a portal in the Blue Abyss, but make sure to wear the Impermeable Set obtained from Dahl. You're sure to perish to the effects of the poison there without it. Here you'll find components to craft brand new jewels and vanity crafting components.
Take on the new boss Dead Estus, an undead fungus creature that leaks corruption with every step. "Dead Estus" has a chance to drop the Radiant Corruption component (required for crafting a Star Stone), and components for the Wings of the Indigo Moth vanity.
The Black Ash Forest
Enter the Black Ash Forest through a portal in the Ash Forest. Here you'll find components to craft brand new jewels and vanity crafting components.
And, fight the new boss Black Leaf, a tree shrouded in a miasma of black caused by the long-term exposure to the cosmic corruption of Hedourah. "Black Leaf" has a chance to drop the Burning Cosmic Shell component (also required for crafting a Star Stone), and components for the Wings of the Forest Fae vanity.
Hedourah
Not a new boss, but he now drops the "Inert Meteor Shard" needed to craft the Star Stones (below)!

+25% XP and 15% Primary Stat.
In Elder Woods: gain +15% Armor, +15% Damage, and +20% Primary Stat
5/5 Bonus:
+50% XP, 25% Primary Stat, and unlock Lost Expedition Weapons anti-toxin behaviors.
In the Elder Woods: gain +15% Critical Hit Damage in Elder Woods.
+ Lost Expedition Weapons (2H Sword, Gun, and Bow) gain anti-toxin behaviors when wearing the 5/5 set:Charged attacks instantly clear Fatal Fungi (Arcazole variant) or Rot Slime (Purification variant) if wearing the 5/5 set.

The new content comes with a handful of new items to craft, including:
+ Mythic Star Stones (a new jewel)Grants +18.75 to Primary stat, and +5 Damage in the Elder Woods, with a 1% chance of slotting a Blazing Star Stone.
Blazing Star Stones grant +18.57 to Primary stat, +2.25 Critical Hit Damage, and +5 Damage in Elder Woods.
All Elder Woods statistic bonuses are stacking!
Star Stones are NOT removable.
+ Impermeable Armor - Required to enter the new Poison Caverns zone.
Requires crafting components earned from completing Dahl's quests + one Legendary armor piece of your level.

Voyager's Dueling PvP
A new variant of PvP arrives with this update. Obtain the recipes for the Voyager's Dueling set from Keane's questline (complete Dahl's quests to unlock), then collect the components from the Poison Caverns.
This new variant requires the Duelist Armor set, but otherwise lets you bring in whatever pets, weapons, and accessories, adding new dimension to the dueling experience.
