Twink has nothing to do with PL specifically. It's a term used in alot of MMO's. I personally think this droid talk is silly, personal opinion though. I have a ton of "twinks" in SL and I would dislike people calling them droids, since a droid is already a name for a human-like robot. I think the name droid is misleading, and has no relevance to twinking. Speaking of twinking, what are u gonna call the act of PvPing on your "droid"? Droiding? Sounds just silly.
