I agree with the font on my signatures, I only use a set number of font and they all look rough imo.
Lately I've been designing some signatures with a choice with font or without and then the (let's say you) can add your own font of choice ontop of it.
That way its a win win.
The best piece of advice I've taken to heart is knowing when to stop ;-) If you Cary on for hours you can either destroy your art work or your physical self. So I try to carry on till I'm atleast happy with it 90% or so. Then move on to the next. Gives you also something to improve on. If I'm happy with it then that's how it finishes :-)
Lol its not a direction, I'm versatile. Always have been with my signatures. One thing you can count on is the cartoon effect I usually add on my modern ones as a slight finish.
