Failed to initialize graphics...

Ive read a few threads about this message and it seems that they all either refer you to download newer graphics drivers or to enable native client.
Recently i have spent hours trying to get it all working and still nothing. i have tried 3 different drivers and i have enabled native client, but i still get this message:
"Failed to initialize graphics. You may need to update your graphic drivers."
Does anybody know any other causes of this message, because i have tried everything...
