Casualties are bound to occur, but let's hope it stays at a minimum.

Casualties have already hit 1000+. Whole passenger trains and buses have gone missing, so unfortunately, there are bound to be more deaths. This is a serious catastrophe. Hawaii was hit pretty hard, and a few west coast US harbors were destroyed. I don't believe there were any casualties in the US though, thank goodness. Also, there's a state wide warning in Japan due to the nuclear power plants having some technical issues. I don't think that it's too serious though. A couple friends say they are all right and that it was mainly the tsunami that did the most damage, although the earthquake was still very harsh.

also to be honest in my opinion that 1000+ thing is complete bs, considering they cant see if anyone is even dead yet, sadly because its all flooded and they don't know who is and isn't. D: it probably is atleast 15,000 to be honest...

I reported the casualties that they have already been reported. And like I said, there are bound to be many more. I'm hoping there aren't near that many deaths.

Also, sadly a death was reported in California as the tsunami dragged a man to sea, killing him.

For people saying it's not that bad, the casualties are pretty awful, there reporting them by prefecture, so it seems like a fairly low number but when you think about it when they report 30 dead and 100 missing in some prefecture, that's just one prefecture... Out of about 50. The area I'm in is safe (for all those who know me) but alot of people aren't as lucky.

I hope everyone ok and I hope those reactor don't go critical. I have very deep feeling that California is next for a very big quake. Well time to prepare emergency kit.

I think the reactors will be find hopefully. Because Japan has extensive rules and guidelines in case of situations such like this, since Japan is prone to a lot of earth quakes.
