Hi Fluff, I made an undead mage right at the begninng when O&C was released and focused only on frost. I got too far in the game when I decided how much I hated the look of the undead mage. Anyway, since I'm really only interested in caster classes, I decided to make a new mage. Went for an elf skyfire mage and currently Level 49. I have found the fire mage so much easier to level than the frost mage, which was painful. I was able to go to rift much earlier on this time round as he can kill a mob even before they reach him. The frost mage is rubbish at single target enemies and frost just does not do enough damage. I particularly enjoy lightning fall which is so much fun and since everyone is hogging the dailies, you can teleport in and stop other people stealing your kill. Lol.

Les - I subscribed for another month and I'll see what happens. I have abandoned my monk for the time being, but will probably go back to it later.

I am starting to get the hang of the mage. Any enemy I can Isolate, fireball fireball barrage cyclone barrage is toast. Problem is when they bring a friend I run into some serious trouble. Once I get my spell crit and barrage damage up though they should be fine.

Yes I know what you mean, I was trying to fight a mob (2 or 3) and could only use shock wave and frost blast as I wasn't getting any crits so couldn't use fire barrage frequently. some other player saw me and called me a noob! lol.

Grinding nomads now so changed to a more mob friendly spec. Only have fire up to flaming spirit of 3, so I could max out iceburst. Being able to have a couple of em freeze makes panic situations a ton easier to deal with. Question though, do you use flame storm at all. The 'must be 10 meters and only 10 meters' requirement seems to make it useless.

Yeaaa!! With my warrior, I can defeat 95% of the warriors I duel, most archers, all assassins, a few divine monks, a fair amount of military monks, and sometimes permafrost and skyfire mages!

Though I believe warriors should gain 1 or 2 resistance to all magic everytime they level. Staying at 0 resistance at level 60 whilst a warrior is ridiculous and out of this world, specially for Guardians. Who agrees with this? :/

EDIT: And the Guardian rings shouldn't add JUST 3 resistance, more like 20 or 30...3 is ridiculous. Also warriors should be able to dodge arrows and magic... >.>

Have you tried fighting vs imperial? His sin is duel king. I have never beaten him. :(

Iceburst sounds like a good idea. I occasionally use flame storm, but its almost useless - really difficult to judge where to cast it, you have to face in exactly the right direction and mobs run through it really quickly. My % crit is only just above 10% at the moment, but I have no blue or purple items. Mage gear is IMO pretty rubbish, most of it seems to only increase spell hit chance or spell power; both of which are almost useless. I hope the new armours are better.

Apparently some of these people claiming their accounts got stolen actually sold them and are trying to get their q counts back while keeping the money they made.
I don't know what's worse -- that people will do this or that GL didn't set anything in place to prevent it.

I'm beginning to get used to using flame storm now that I have frost blast maxed out. It definately saves mana and if timed right, it can be really devastating. It's funny that I've never seen any mages using this skill yet! Perhaps you will start off a new craze! lol.

You can take out that skill point in barrage if you want and put in apnea. Two seconds is better than none I guess. Also there is talk that the acute toxicity skill is broken and doesn't proc as often as it states.

need every single point in archer talent for max vigor to work, I respeced to a dual spec build right now. Avulsion/Smoke Bomb and a 6 second Apnea also have Dagger Stab

I'm not aware of a guild split, but I haven't been on since the SL beta was released to the regular android market. I still logged regularly before that, but most seem to be off doing other things until the content is updated. Plus ususally there are only two toons per person in the guild, even if you have more. At least that is what Elly told me. I have five toons floating around that I like to play -- well four. I never really could get into the mage and it is still sitting at 45.

No I'm not in Tragic. My orginal character is still in Outlaws but I never see anyone playing anymore and I don't really like my undead mage. Anyway, I created a new mage leveled him to 60 (second time around was really easy) and am now going to level my monk to 60 who is half way there. I won't be bothering to level any other characters and I deleted my assasin (who was only Level 15). I joined another guild as it seemed that outlaws was always empty when I logged in. I don't know whether outlaws members are going to be playing again when the dungeon comes out?

My "new" mage and my re-named monk are now in the Envy guild; Its a good guild, chatty and helpful. I'm hoping that it I'll be will be able to join in with a team when the dungeons come out. I wonder how many of outlaws members will re-new their subscription and continue to play?

That's right, I haven't got a warrior, but they do look fun to play and seem pretty easy as well. Yes I agree that the game was made for warriors but for the moment I'm going to stick with monk and mage for now and see how well the devs update the game in the future. I think perhaps that I've invested too much time already in this game already. lol.

Lol. I noticed this also.

I know a level 15 warrior who has 13.7k armor now. He equipped 6 shields on himself, and his physical damage reduction is 89-90%. My normal hits were around 40ish, instead of the usual 180-200. Lol.

I guess PvP and dueling are not playable as of yet. GL says they'll update this armor glitch in the next update, which is pretty soon. Hope everything goes for the best.

P.S. The warrior is called lightlightli so if you see him in-game duel him and see what ur max hit is lol. But if you use magic on him he'll still be a noob at dueling.

EDIT: If you use bleeding skills (cutthroat, avulsion shot, lacerate), he'll still take same amount of dmg. Oh and be careful of his charge attacks. If you resist it, he still does damage to you. He almost beat a level 60 assassin.

Phar, you DO know that Gameloft is now banning everyone who is glitching? Maybe not soon but you'll find yourself banned eventually if you continue to glitch your character. Several friends and guild members of mine got banned for glitching EVEN BEFORE the update. So I would not recommend glitching from here on.

Based on the screen shots on the O&C forum of the new dungeon, it looks like the entrance to it is in the Eye of the Swamp based on the mobs in the background. I am not aware of those particular mobs being anywhere else on that map. If that is the case, then you will be able to teleport to the Library, run through the fish folk area and follow the road around to the Eye. Of course, if you come in from the opposite direction you have to pass right through the middle of the Swamp's PvP area.

Now I got two 60s! A warrior and a hybrid archer :). my archer has SuperOmega's build haha, and I'm able to beat lvl 60 warriors with runestone armor without any armor. Lol. This is a win ^^ and no i didn't glitch my characters.

Currently leveling my monk n mage...they get boring to level. How do you guys do it?? xD

I gave up on my monk at level 21. And as everyone knows, I took forever capping my Mage lol. I abandoned my warrior at level 48, and now I'm on an archer which I've just fallen in love with

Mage seemed just as quick to level as ranger for me. In fact, mage was more powerful in pve than my archer. I remember doing daily quests in a matter of minutes (or seconds). It took me like 10 seconds to do the fish one in rift. I remember getting shockwave and its cool down talent before focusing on ice until I got permafrost and it's cool down. After that, I went back to fire to get cyclone and fire barrage. If you choose to get cyclone maxed, it'll be around level 43 where you get permafrost. I also didn't attack anything more than 4 levels above me. I didn't see the point since the extra exp wasn't worth the extra time.

By the time I was in rift, I could use fireball and cyclone when doing the bugette and rock dailies without having to worry about mana. Those spells are very cheap mana-wise. You still need to use potions but there really wasn't any downtime other than waiting for mobs to spawn.

I played through the regular level of the dungeon this morning when I had a little time. It was actually a little difficult for my level 60 battle warrior at a few spots even though it is supposedly a level 35 instance. Only one or two mobs were much trouble at that level, but keeping the NPC alive that is there (similar to an escort quest) was a little challenging with just one toon trying to aggro all the mobs given the different ranges and styles of attack they used. No "new" mobs. Just dressed up versions of ones already in-game.

The dungeon theme is when you enter you see a mage NPC that you can talk to. He asks if you can keep the mobs off him while he casts a spell to destroy the alter. You have to kill a few groups of animal mobs as you walk to the alter in the center of the map. Once there, the NPC starts casting some spell and the mobs roll in as small waves of 2, 3, or 4. The hard part is that some of the mobs are melee and some are ranged/spell ranged. And they all initially try to target the NPC who has a health gauge. You have to aggro the mobs and take them out before they kill the NPC, who does not heal on his own. I am hoping that a monk can heal him though.

On that one run through I got 3 blues and 2 master sergeant symbols. All are level 24-26ish blues. And all bind on pickup except for the symbols. (Recipe drops won't bind either apparently). There were a good bit of trash drops as well (like the stuff you get just from regular mobs of the same type). Not really worth anything. The blues don't have a lot of value either to liquidate and you can't sell or trade since they are bound.

Couple other things I had saw that are new and associated with the dungeon.

When any one team member has been in a dungeon it saves your progress for up to 15 minutes if you leave so when you start back you don't have to start from scratch - say from a DC or something. In order to start the dungeon over, you have to go to a new tab under the team menu that is labled as dungeon. It allows you to select the dungeon difficulty level and reset the dungeon progress. If you just join someone that has been in the dungeon (or completed it) you will start from their last point unless you reset it first or leave the dungeon for more than 15 minutes.

On the legendary dungeon mode, there is an exhaust bar that fills as you spend time in the dungeon. Supposedly, a team should be able to do 2-3 runs before it fills and you are booted from the dungeon. I haven't tested, so I don't know. But in order to go back in the dungeon once that exhaust bar is full, you have to buy a Rune item (vendor is at entrance) that resets your exhaustion. It costs 10 runes.

Or you can wait for the once a day reset that occurs at midnight - not sure of the time zone though.

Joey, getting through the dungeon waves, including the second and third bosses, really has a lot to do with party make up and the builds of toons. The party really needs one guardian warrior with a very dungeon friendly spec and a divine monk with a strong healing based spec. Both also really need pretty high end gear to take full advantage. The other two spots are ususally archers and mages built for dps to actually kill the mobs while the guardian holds aggro and the monk heals. I actually did respecs on my monk and warrior specifically for the dungeon.

The second boss is a pain because of the silence and knockdown interrupting skills. Best thing to do is have the guardian tank him in the water where he spawns. Make sure everyone knows to health pot if their health gets low because the monk can't always get you healed in time because of the silence and knockdown (and the mob can crit for 3500hp in damage). The Guardian should just use quick strike to maintain moral levels and aggro (it will aggro mob for 5 secs). When the Boss grows bigger at around 20% health left, the Guardian should hit Guardian Stance to help with damage management while he keeps aggro. Also, try to hold back courage and a cooled down health pot for this part. Honestly, it is hard for mages at that point because of the boss's dps if they get aggro even for a hit or two. You may want to think about adding some stam based gear pieces to bump up your HP.

Echelong can give monk tips on healing. He is good at keeping everyone alive through the dungeon.

You are bound to get aggro at some point, as snipe crits for well over 2000. Tanks just have to make sure that they have good moral management and use swift strike to regain it on the next hit. Swift Strike and maxed Block will lock aggro on the tank for 5 second bursts. The only time a tank runs into trouble is if they miss and don't have sufficient moral to swift strike again quickly. That and failing to recognize that swift strike can only hit so many mobs and actively moving to hit those that have aggroed on other toons to regain mob control.

My mage is constantly taking aggro. I've only been in the dungeon three times and with flaming mind maxed you get instant casts of elemental finishing and chain lightning, my mage's damage output is greater than many of the other players and hence I get the aggro. So I think those spells are not advisable to use. I'm thinking of respecing, to a more dps build, so that permafrost and flamestorm would more likely produce better results and to cast water prison on the boss and doing the odd fireball and ice bolt etc. I already have flamestorm and this works extremely well in the dungeon. Also with the mage, you have to pace it so that you don't keep on running out of mana all the time; military monks would most definately have an awful time, what with their mana problems.

When I went in with my divine monk, it was a disaster. I kept on losing the target or it wouldn't select, so that if I was trying to heal somneone and get attacked, I lose target and instead it targets the mob attacking me. Very frustrating and not to mention the terrible lag problems.

You and suicidekings together made me lose aggro lol >.> two rangers with insane snipe crits...yea, I would lose aggro easily

However, I found a trick with counter stance. it lets the target lock onto me for 8 seeconds! if one swift strike doesnt make aggro come back to me, i can use counter to make my aggro stay for a long time...and then continue swift striking :P

AFAIK, unless there was a big change, nope it's not multiplatform. Different server for iOS, Android, and Facebook from what I know.

For KP dungeon, I can manage 17 exhaust. Lol. You just need the perfect team which includes tank, healer, atleast one mage, and an ARCHER (assasins = bad bad bad) Since assassins cannot knock down mobs, and archers CAN with different shots :p Hope that helps a bit

I used to play it alot. Sucks to see it go down the drain. Is it me or was it extremely hard to lvl up? There ain't many players either and most don't even talk. The guild I'm in is dead too......I really had hopes for it. It has very good graphics and strong gameplay and never ending terrain to traverse. Spacetime should buy it out and flip it

Yea the only thing you ever have to pay for is the sub, and runes (the games platinum) are optional, save for some end level crafting. The dungeons are always free and its where you get the best loot. There's a normal mode and a legendary mode for each one that vary in difficulty. You will ALWAYS need a group for them. First one is a defense dung. where you have to take out waves of monsters/bosses while protecting the caster npc that's keeping some gate open to bring them out.

The next two are exploration dungeons, kinda like PL where you travel through to the end to the last boss, while fighting mini's along the way

I know you guys have told me not to bump but I feel I should share some information with you guys:

Reason for hacks are by methods of phishing. You go onto a website (a cheesy one) and they can extract some information which can then be used to hack your account.
Other reasons, your Gameloft ID is vulnerable if it is the same as your IGN. Giving personal info to others in game (unless you know them irl) can pose a threat for your account.

It's basically street smart. Ignore all the potential scammers/hackers and don't believe what they say; it's to good to be true!

Also I saw that you can recover your account and characters, runes, gold etc. by emailing GL Customer Care. I know GL service isn't as good as STS so it would probably take 1-2 weeks to get all your things back.

I'm still going strong, just hit 23 and found an okay guild. Wish/hope some of you guys still play, if you do, add me @ Beanmachine

Well glad to hear that they made some security updates, now only cheesy websites and anything else asking for players usernames and passwords can be used to hack. Until semi-beta for WoM comes out, I'll keep on playing O&C.

I really love the character customization in o&c I really wish sts did their character customization like, or similar to o&c. And o&c dungeons, bosses, chat, pvp, are way more fun imo. When ever you guys get a chance I just made a new char in the whispering island ign: worldpeace

I'll never go back to oc until the hacking stops. I have a lot of gold, capped characters, and items that I don't feel like losing. The guild I was in comprised of ex pl players (dawninfinity, LadyLove, etc.) have all gotten hacked at least twice, with me being the only fortunate one. If you want to invest all that time in a game just to lose it all when you get hacked (GL will restore your account, but at Lv 1 with no items most of the time) then be my guest.

I haven't spend money yet other than for the download of the game, but from what I've observed, u can buy runes to get materials for end game gear or very good gear. U can also buy in game money for a smoother journey or use the in game money for mounts ( or u can try to catch them, I'm trying now, but kept failing lol, not rich in game to buy too many mount traps)

Oh, and just play any server u want, don't bother about the lag that they warn u about, I'm from south east asia, but I'm on the American server and I'm doing good with 4G connection and better with wi-fi, so there really isn't any issue :)

as tank its easy to find groups, u just have to hold aggro and dont die :p but anyway, always the monk will be flamed xD

Quick question, what would spending real money in this game get me?

the only money i suggest to spend is to buy the rune gear ("superior" gear), wich is the basic T1-set wich can be upgraded to "epic" (its about ~12€). u can also farm for it but it would need major time, and its hard to find groups with only "green" gear.
u cant farm dungeons the whole day, u have a exhaust bar wich is full after ~4/5 runs. but u will fill 2-3h each day with that. if u wanna farm more u can buy reset tabs with runes. what i suggest is just to create another char and play that too until its exhausted. its fun knowing to play more than one class ;)
for the rest u will never have to buy any stat boosting elixer, noone does. u can buy pets or mounts with real money or play lottery.. buts all optional, nothing will help u to get the best gear. only playing skill counts! ;) its almost like in WoW.
once u have a epic T1 set u can start farm the T2 set. Important is that u make friends or get into a guild where others will help u show and farm dungeons. Alone ur lost.
If u dont like PVE u can just do PVP. By PVPing u gain a currency wich u can buy PVP gear after.

sheeeesh.... 2H tank is very squishy and only very good warri-players paired with good monks can handle it. i used to heal some 2H tanks, but it was hard and a wipe is just 1 little fail away ;) even with shield u get hitted very hard. some shields looks cool ;) and u can use "shield slap" to hold agro.
The DD-warri is good in doing damage, its only harder to find groups,bcz DDs like mages or rangers are always enough around.

Loot: thats a good point. yeah, all players have to give up rolling if the item is not for their class. so, always before entering a dungeon, speak about the loot u need (especially essences wich everyone wants) and try to play only with guild or friends, there r always some ninjas around... or do "leader loot", so the lead of the group decides who becomes the drop. but anyway, ninjas are known soon and noone wants to play with them again, so just be fair and the others will be fair to you.

lf tank etl gtg => Looking for a tank for the dungeon Eristars Temple Legendary Mode, game to go. Means the game will start after a Tank joined the group
lf dps etl gtg => the same, they need a DD instead a tank

I would suggest u to:
- reach lvl 60
- reach master of ur profession (wich will be blacksmithing)
- buy 6 pieces of the rune gear
- look for a good guild
- watch video guides of RKL (Relic Key) and try to memorize the sequenzes of the spawning mobs
- try to farm with ur guild RKL and dont be afraid to say ur a noob, bcz the bosses there will kick ur ***, random groups will flame u xD
- after proceed to KPL, then ETL, then GSL etc..

Awe pics! I am rly enjoying the game and working to 60 as fast as I can while still doing crafting also. I'm lvl34 with 85 crafting so far :)

sheeeesh.... 2H tank is very squishy and only very good warri-players paired with good monks can handle it. i used to heal some 2H tanks, but it was hard and a wipe is just 1 little fail away ;) even with shield u get hitted very hard. some shields looks cool ;) and u can use "shield slap" to hold agro.
The DD-warri is good in doing damage, its only harder to find groups,bcz DDs like mages or rangers are always enough around.

Loot: thats a good point. yeah, all players have to give up rolling if the item is not for their class. so, always before entering a dungeon, speak about the loot u need (especially essences wich everyone wants) and try to play only with guild or friends, there r always some ninjas around... or do "leader loot", so the lead of the group decides who becomes the drop. but anyway, ninjas are known soon and noone wants to play with them again, so just be fair and the others will be fair to you.

lf tank etl gtg => Looking for a tank for the dungeon Eristars Temple Legendary Mode, game to go. Means the game will start after a Tank joined the group
lf dps etl gtg => the same, they need a DD instead a tank

I would suggest u to:
- reach lvl 60
- reach master of ur profession (wich will be blacksmithing)
- buy 6 pieces of the rune gear
- look for a good guild
- watch video guides of RKL (Relic Key) and try to memorize the sequenzes of the spawning mobs
- try to farm with ur guild RKL and dont be afraid to say ur a noob, bcz the bosses there will kick ur ***, random groups will flame u xD
- after proceed to KPL, then ETL, then GSL etc..


Woah that was some really good info!! Thanks a lot mate, btw do u have a tank? I was thinking of getting T1 4/6 violent and 2/6 defender OR T1 4/6 defender and 2/6 violent to start out as a tank, my focus would be, able to tank boss(the Mage can CC the mobs). I was thinking a kinda of hybrid warrior that would be able to tank boss and dish our some dmg and to be able to fair well in pvp.

I've read up on a lot of guides, but hybrid gear selection was seldom or never mention. I've also tried out talent calculator if I want to get CS(which I planned to) I won't have enough points to get sonic wave to silence mages in pvp.

Any take or suggestions would really help me out a lot here :)
