Red, if you decide to go monk. Go military until level 35 then immediately switch to divine. At level 35 you get divine breath and you stop being able to run out of mana. Also, you start your first round of grinding between level 38-40 so theres gonna be a need for div monks. As for tips, the best grinding team is div monk +
battle warrior IMO. Some also like div monk + mage because the monk can keep the mages mana up.

I second this, although I waited until 43ish or so, because I had some points in military to have Mantis Cudgel and Tiger Claw so I could deal some melee damage. You will have many friends any time you grind, especially with mages if you can keep their mana restored with divine breath like Necrobane said :)

I would suggest you stick to military until you can get divine breath + 14 in military which should be right around 49. You should still be good with military tree. Use mana potion and eat. When you switch your attack would be arrow of faith, arrow of fire, I put 1 point into tiger claw because it's good spam skill, and mantis.

Arrow of faith and fire of faith or whatever its called. You'll find that overall due to being able to kill non stop you level a lot faster. Mil is fun, but being only able to attack in short bursts blows. I'd say quest yourself someone divine gear and when you have most of a set make the switch, that gives you bit more time :P

I was teaming up with Freja's mage before and we made a pretty good team. But we're not always on together and I still like to solo a lot. That's why I'm hesitant to switch to divine. Is it still good for soloing?

Yes I mean healing gear. It's great for soloing up until about level 50 where i've been finding that im a lot slower then other classes. But the upside is it's so easy to get into good grinding groups. You just have too get used to loosing a lot of hp, feels strange at first, but it only takes one quick heal to get back up to full. Also
max out your restore and keep it up :)

Ok... Update on my situation:

After a lengthy email to the devs at Gameloft, we figured out how to make the game work. I am a human, lvl 3 (NOOB!!) and in the A-something forest. BTW, I am an android user so I have already been informed that I will probably not get to play with anyone, BUT if there is someone out there who would like to lend me some pointers, I am all ears (or eyes!) I am doing quests right now and still trying to decide whether I like it or not.

60 on 60 is actually really fun. 60 spawn killing low player, not so fun. I assume you don't endorse that, or it would make it extremely dangerous to travel under a Tragic tag.

Celtic doesn't compare to Order and Chaos, just spend the 2.99 or whatever and get 6 months of gameplay. Celtic has the cheesiest graphics I've ever seen, I played for 20 mins and got bored.

I know what you mean, and it can get frustrating. What area are you trying to quest at and are having trouble? If we are on at the same time and you are in a pvp area, let me know and I can shadow you to deal with the 'turds'.

Well, yeah. I also figure that I will use the leftover orbs for whenever the cap raises. With both the 50% and 100% at level 58, I was getting 1700exp per bloodsucker. At 59, I've been getting 1500ish. Worth it. :p

The TOS is basically the exact same thing. It will be the same as you put it, "censorship". That's expected in most games that don't want to get "SUED" stamped on their buttocks. :)

That actually is not a daily quest. It is one of the first Graveyard quests, called "Clear the Graveyard", and you get it from the Village right outside of Vega. Probably 1/3 of the Graveyard quests have you going back and forth to that little camp. The daily quest from that area comes from the same place though and is called "The One's Legacy". It is the one where you have to go slightly outside the Graveyard across the suspension bridge and kill the level 38 mob that looks like a Burning Horn from the desert. It is worth 7500 xp though, so it is a good one to do for a while.

Yeah warrior and mage are the only new sets that have a different look, monk and ranger are just a different color palette of other items. Plus no dungeon blah we get level 60 sets but no level 60 content so this update was a total crap.

I see why they did this, business-wise, but for the customers it's pretty disappointing. The effort they put into making those new armours could easily have been put into working on dungeons or PvP release. Which I (and probably others) would MUCH prefer. Honestly- GL priorities are completely screwed. It makes sense to make an endgame as soon as possible to keep people playing, but they didn't. It makes sense to have the best gear lootable, so that players have something to work for, but it isn't (Or at least it isn't now).

So ima keep my $15 and wait till update #2 *sigh*

That's how STS started with this game. The difference was that they didn't have robots for developers on the other end. I tried contacting them, many times. I have yet to get even a single response.

Edit: Haven't downloaded the update yet bc I need to make room on my phone. But is it true that symbols are now 100% drop rate from king, etc but that regular mobs can drop them too? And they're tradable? Seems like the other extreme -- they went from super rare and now will be super easy to get? But then again, doesn't even matter now that they made better sets that can be bought. Good lord. Those already playing, anything good from this update? Are the safe graveyards working?

Sig try deleting and reinstalling. It used to do that with PL for me back in the day. If that fails, or what you should try first is restarting your phone

is anyone lagging after the OaC update?? Im lagging pretty bad in spurts.... lame...

Also, I bought the set for Archers and its sick!!! basically i more then doubled my ranged attacks and the only draw back is that my aig is lower so close fighting Im toast... on a non worrier I crit at 2600 avg and on worriers I crit at 1900 is the highest I have done so far.... I PvP'ed mages and monks and basically before they can even move, I kill them.... I have won 95% of all PvP fights so far and the only class I have not tried to fight are assassin... I assume they will still give me trouble but basically if they up the level cap, PvE to get there will be pretty easy I would think.

to the earlier post of Tragic going after Omega, I was also there and its because some punk was ganking in vega a Tragic member so like 6 or 7 of us show up and start beheading people... to be clear, we dont have anything personal with outlaws and infact Les and the rest are also my PL and forum friends.... I see outlaws all the time and I dont provoke... just in case u thought otherwise. as Red said, we dont have alliance with any guild and basically all guilds are free for all for us as we are PvP heavy but with fellow PL players, we do show respect.

On a lighter note, I've noticed new dailies in in the Rift, but all just for gold so Im guessing there are no new quests for gear right?

Also, only armor sets are available to buy and no weapons right as I could not find any for sale so Im guessing no.

Lastly, I'm still guessing that crafting the highest lvl armor will be better the the paid sets? I dont know as I dont know where to farm the Captain's Symbol to make any :(

Lacerate is also nice to have. At max rank, it was doing more than 540 damage over 12 sec without any points in Improved Lacerate. I read somewhere that using it in PVP against casters and assassins is an advantage because assassins can't sneak and something something with casters (not really sure because I don't PVP and I was half listening. I just like to see the bats bleed while I'm killing them. :))

Rotor Storm is pretty useless unless you PVP with rangers (from what I heard) and I have zero points there. I maxed out Fearless to increase the time for Courage instead. Thundershout was also pretty useless to me since I have Cleave maxed and, after putting everyone to sleep, all my attacks tend to aoe and wake them up.

Ya I agree the game is now favoring archers which I also dont think its as fun.... as much fun as it is winning in PvP, I do enjoy soloing also..... I joined Tragic when I was lvl 60 and I solo'ed all the way up there myself to 60 and it was fun.... BUT I am not sure if the ppl I PvPed were also using the bought set as Im not familiar with the gears of other classes.... I am only assuming they are in greenmont. So if anyone using a non archer class thinks different of my comments, dont start flamming please. I did hear monks bought set also rules but I have yet to ask my guild member on that.

You really want to go divine that early? You will only have two spells to use at that level fire of faith and arrow of faith. One is 3 seconds and 10 second or so cool down and the other is 1 second to cast. Anyway, here is my recommendation.

Yeah, I'm still a bit on the fence about respeccing. I played with Cryo's divine monk and it's great, but I'm still not sure since I solo a lot (and I love my lion king strike). I have killed Karla 4 times since the update and been there when someone else got the kill, and there wasn't a symbol drop any of the times.

Maybe it is for the General symbol. But it definately isn't for the captain symbol at the Karla location.

I think temperance affects healing, buff, fire of faith, arrow of faith, and maybe deities infused. Only tiger claw, mantis, and lion king use weapon damage so the more str you have, the more damage you get from those skills. Dragon kick and phoenix are fixed damage.

It is because of Inner Force gives you an armor bonus based on how much strength or agility you have. The more wisdom gear you have, the less strength and/or agility you will have from Inner Force, coughcoughahem.

If you are still unsure. I suggest getting the magma gear. They add both strength and wisdom. The downside is low stamina, but since monks can heal I think it will do ok. :)

My monk is still just level 28 and I am using mostly str, agi and stam gear and just bring a bagload of mana pots. :banana: (12 slots!)
Did 22 - 28 in about 3 hours.

This will make my build a hybrid military (AoE skills - mantis, phoenix, dragon kick) and divine (mana restore thru divine breathe).

I've been using claws and loving them. I usually just spam lion and tiger until the mob is dead, and then use the aoe spells if I have more than one mob.

But I recently upgraded lion and the CD increased from 10 secs to 15!!!! That's a 50% increase! WTF? Now my most-used and favorite skill can only be used once per mob. And it was my main reason for choosing claws. That and tiger could often take down mobs with one of each skill.

So I'm probably going to respec soon, since my build is worthless now. Thinking of going divine until the 80% mana skill and work some military into it. Maybe go back to a polearm? I dunno... What's the best gear for divine when soloing?

Divine isn't really a good soloer, I'm just using Stamina/Wisdom gear with the Staff of Expiratory prayer or something along those lines. The 80% mana skill is awesome :)

What kind of farming? Ghosts at 60?

I tried going 31/26 Div/Mil I think, just enough to get the mana skill in Divine, rest into Military versus a pure AoE military (pure farm build, no pvp), sec will use calculator.

Pure mil only works with the 60 @ Ghosts type of farming, where you can really gather them up and take damage no problem, the mana % gain per dodge/parry skill + the increased parry/dodge skill works well in regaining mana. The build hits really hard too.

The Mana Skill + AoE Mil is good too, I just find at times that I have a few seconds wait on the mana skill CD.

Actually, restore is pretty handy when farming the 58 Lava Shadowbringers who poison you (I take 160 damage per 2 secs from them) so I hit restore once in a while to just keep my health relatively steady. You;re right, not sure if the 30 sec vs. 60 sec is that big a difference, I put 3 into maxing Fire of Faith's damage instead f the movement, my FoF will crit for 1500 sometimes and gives good burn damage over time.

Mine is pretty similar to both of yours but didn't spend points on Breath Regulating or Devout Mind...just seemed like low percentage moves, but I guess it wouldn't make a huge difference wither way, to each their own :)

As far as other stealing kills while casting FoF, it happens relatively rarely...not really a reason to not have it. It is too good of a damage dealer to pass up. The cast time is only slightly longer than snipe, would you give up snipe just because others can possibly steal your kills once in a while Les? :)

I still manage to die sometimes if I get attacked by multiple mobs. Kinda miss the last military skill -- I would use it if the odds were against me to grab 15 secs -- usually enough time to kill off the remaining mobs and make a run for it before the spell wore off. I really do miss it :(.

Actually, restore is pretty handy when farming the 58 Lava Shadowbringers who poison you (I take 160 damage per 2 secs from them) so I hit restore once in a while to just keep my health relatively steady. You;re right, not sure if the 30 sec vs. 60 sec is that big a difference, I put 3 into maxing Fire of Faith's damage instead f the movement, my FoF will crit for 1500 sometimes and gives good burn damage over time.

Mine is pretty similar to both of yours but didn't spend points on Breath Regulating or Devout Mind...just seemed like low percentage moves, but I guess it wouldn't make a huge difference wither way, to each their own :)

As far as other stealing kills while casting FoF, it happens relatively rarely...not really a reason to not have it. It is too good of a damage dealer to pass up. The cast time is only slightly longer than snipe, would you give up snipe just because others can possibly steal your kills once in a while Les? :)

Personally I don't have a mage. But from what I hear from others you are correct, mages need tons of HP pots and mana pots and Food ready. They are also the squishiest class of them all since unlike monks they don't have a self heal. However killing monsters is fast and looks fun with all those aoes and high damage spells

I think you either really like the mage or you really don't like the mage. Personally, I fall into the really don't like the mage category because of the high demand for constant mana pots and food. Just doesn't seem to fit my play style. After I got my warrior to 60, I started a mage next. Got all the way to 45 and kind of got tired of him in the desert. Made an archer and got that one to 60. Made a monk and have that one at 51. The mage is still sitting there. No real desire to play it. But I have some friends that absolutely love their mages. So I think it is just a personal preference thing. They are killing machines when paired with a monk with divine breath. But personally I think it is the hardest class to play solo, which is what I do 90% of the time unless I am grinding.

Although, the Skyfire mage speed spell buff is probably my most favorite spell in the entire game. Being able to constantly run that fast in 30 sec bursts makes all that running around in the desert soooo much easier. And it works on the entire team/party. It puts the assassin speed buff to shame. But maybe that is me looking for a bright side.

I second what Les said, although I popped XP pots a few times on my 2nd and 3rd char because I was tired of grinding in a few spots. They did recently add some more dailies that give good xp for whatever world area you're in, the Rift ones especially. I think you can clear 100k xp easy doing all the Rift dailies, and as the last levels 56+ are 250k+ it comes in handy, not to mention the xp from killing the mobs doing said quests :)

The only xp pots are 100% xp and 50% xp, but they last for an hour and can stack the 100 and 50. Available with runes only (think plat) but they are pretty cheap. I think it was something around 4 bucks to get 5 of the 100% hour long ones. Yeah, real money, but so was plat for trivial/bonus stuff like faces in PL. Just personal pref if you want to buy. Plenty did not and made it just fine.

Quests are the major source of xp usually, which is a big diff from PL.

Unfortunately not....there are rumors of dungeons/raids in future updates. A lot of 60s farm, PvP, work on crafting (much more in-depth than PL, where I wish it was more complex), or we help out lower guildies with troublesome quests, like those in the PvP FFA areas if they are getting ganked by high lvls.

Yeah, I like FoF a lot. Has a long cast time, but not much longer than snipe so I'll either start a combo/attack with it, or hit it as soon as I hit Mantis Cudgel and get that 5 sec stun.

Yeah, not much to do at 60, although I haven't farmed much at all yet. I need to get my hands on some general symbols (used for crafting the highest lvl gear) now that regular mobs drop them and not just 2-3 hr spawn boss. So in that respect, it's like PL -- not much to do at Lvl cap but farm (and craft). I want to farm the gear I need so I can save my cash for upgrades and future gear. Bag/stash upgrades, respecs all cost a chunk of gold, so it's nice to have an abundant amount and not have to worry about the gold it costs to respec, etc.

Also, iOS and android aren't able to play together yet. So if you do buy the game, sadly you wouldn't be able play with us :(

I bought a brand new 4th gen iPod recently because I can't play PL/SL with concurrent texts and phone calls, so I'll have both an iOS device and a Droid :p With triple XP, max level is much easier to reach in PL and even SL Beta. I was thinking of joining OC but Moogs knows of my reluctance to play multiple MMOs. I was also hoping that OC would have a lot more things to do beyond level cap. My biggest gripe with these MMOs (both PL and OC) is that once level cap is reached, there's only 1.) best gear to obtain and 2.) gold to max out - but there's no real point as there is no dungeon/instance/campaign in which best gear is useful (unless you PvP) and gold would only be helpful to fund other characters once you obtain everything your character needs (or rather, do they really need extra things once you reach lv 60?). Content consumption seems to be pretty fast for OC...is Gameloft quick on updates? I've played their other games and they are really slow with patches...

Most people are guessing that update #2 will come right before our three free months expire, to get us to buy some more time. GL promised us dungeons before the end of the summer. While they may not be nearly as communicative as STS, they did give us update 1 when they promised (like one day before the end of June lol). So by the time you get a character or two to 60, I'm guessing we'll have new content.

Personally, I love the game, despite its flaws. I love the graphics style and play style, open world, etc. Wish t had 3G though. I just took a bikeride to my favorite grassy area and I hate that I can't play. I think they said they're fixing that, though?

I say you should do it -- and join our guild :) -- it's fun being able to chat with each other while we're all doing our own things.

It is slow at start... but once you get that Permafrost, Stone Armor and the final ice talent, it gets a lot fast. A lot faster with exp pots. :banana:

I liked this offensive skills build! I am training my monk at the moment and I am at level 36 now.

I tweaked your build a bit and made it more defensive, and also with healing gear it can play as semi-support as well.

Here is the build at level 60 (http://tinyurl.com/5uvcx9z).

Some changes include:
Removal of Fire of Faith (FoF) for Divine Light(DL) and its upgrade. Alternative you can remove the four points on the upgrade of Divine Light and put them back into FoF with max upgrade.

Removal of Selfless Muse. I did this because you have Divine Breathe already, I am thinking with that skill, mana regen is useless.
Removal of Breath Regulating. Same reason as the removal of Selfless Muse, since Divine Breathe will handle all your mana regen needs.

Speaking as a Mage, there's some ways that I've seen monks get an advantage:

- Using that sweep stun skill at the right time (when silenced)
- High ice/fire resistance gear (ellee uses it and is a LOT harder to kill than most monks)
- Whatever that long charge high damage spell monks have: use it after a stun to make sure it hits, otherwise don't bother cus it's seriously easy to interrupt and just wastes time.

Been toying with dual wield + matial stance. On mobs lower then you, it is insanely fast a grinding. On higher mobs, it becomes kinda dangerous because you need to gather as many as possible and kill really quickly with out breaking (as soon as you stop attacking, your morale will dive). after getting my 4 60s im leveling a duel wield just toying around with unique classes/builds etc and its quite fun, when you get around
35ish and upgrade hit% skills you have a hit% of around 90 so its great

Aha, because I'm not. I played about 2 months ago. Leveled a Divine Mage named "Haikus" to 20 something, with Kenemily's help. Was in Tragic. But, haven't logged in since. I like, forgot about it. Because it's on my Ipod, and I'm usually on my Ipad. Never thought to switch over to my Ipad. I have about a month left for the 3 months for buying the game( was gifted the app, woot!) . So, I might hop in. If, I get back "addicted", I might renew for the year.

Edit: Didn't really like how small the screen was for the game, on my Ipod; didn't really get the whole beautiful look of the game. Made my Ipod really hot, & drained the heck out of my battery. (Had to have brightness significantly down or even off, just to get about 2 hours to 2 hours & 30 minutes. Maybe I shouldn't have been playing that long. :o Dislike playing on the charger, too.)

If you want to spend real cash to make gold, just buy some general symbols, craft them into epics and sell for 5000g+

Heartforgers aren't cheap ya know. I've recently purchased one after rediculous amounts of grinding and as you've most likely seen, all the gold spots are completely over crowded now. The server switch was just a thought, never said I would go through with it. I used to be able to farm 50-100G every 40 mins and
Now it takes double.... GL needs to increase mob sizes. I don't see them doing that though, probably to promote the use of server switches :(

Sure symbols are cheap, but materials arent. Unless you have all the time to invest farming them opposed to buying them lol, but it's too tedious and boring. I'm only up to professional on my warrior and it's cost me a bunch.

True he won't be able to interact, but if Phys accidentally joined a wrong one, the server migration feature is already up so he can just transfer to the correct one.
Another alternative would be that we transfer to a less populated server, less competition on bosses, cheaper / higher AH prices depending on supply and demand.

Not only is it silly, it does not work. Word is only your character and level switch, all equip / money is lost to prevent this.

Some have gotten around it by jailbreaking, using 3G hotspots to mimic wifi, etc. But I have just been using it when near strong wifi connections.

You need wifi to play the game. Period.
Some have gotten around it by jailbreaking, using 3G hotspots to mimic wifi, etc. But I have just been using it when near strong wifi connections.

Yeah, that's with anything online, on an Touch. All it can access is WiFi, unlock an Iphone, which has 3g.

I think I may research how to jailbreak and obtain 3G in some way and if that's a dead end I'll just buy a router.

Actually - yes my phone does have that option! The iPod's currently online now and the app store works but downloads still "Loading..." for a while. Hope this 3G tether isn't too slow.

Also, if I download via the App store while my iPod is connected to my computer via USB where is the file located on the iPod? I'm not seeing it on any screen.

Oh, if you didn't have an Samsung Galaxy S? I'd say it'd run ALOT smoother, because compared PL and SL to my EVO 4g to my touch, it's a big difference. Anyway, good luck with that.

Edit2: You downloaded an app? You should be able to access it from your home screen. (See it download, and install. It'd be like a little faded box, with a small blue bar in it, slowly going up)

Yeah, 3G tethering is way too slow, I see it downloading but it's not very fast. I tried to download via USB link but when it finished downloading, nothing showed up on my home screen even though it's synced.

Edit: Nvm I figured it out. I had to go to "My iPod" -> Apps -> check Sync Apps -> Drag Pocket Legends -> Apply

Do this. You have an iTunes, no? iTunes credit or an credit card to it, any way of paying for the app. Download it on your comp, from iTunes. Sync, your iPod up to iTunes. On your first screen it'll say My Ipod, then go to Apps, then just check the box beside Pocket Legends. It'll began syncing, then remove iPod, when it finishes. Wala!

There is a fairly simple way to play on 3G on Apple products, but it does require jailbreaking...which is a lot easier than before. I use it occasionally, and damn Ech for telling me about it.

Not sure if this applies to your situation, but the file is huge and takes a long time to download, because the iTunes store is butt-slow.

Not only does it require jailbreaking it requires you to pay 2.99 if you want to get it legally, you can get it illegally for free using the sinfuliphonerepo. The app from cydia is called "3g unrestrictor" now jailbreaking is easier then ever just go to jailbreakme.com on your iDevice and its automatically jailbroken within 1 minute.

Boh areas have dailies, so I don't think one is worse than the other. I like that lvl 60 greens also drop in umbra. Don't think they drop by bulrinto.

Also, I like standing by the shadow npc and aggroing the mobs while he helps me kill them :). Others do that too, though, so can o my do that when it's fairly quiet.

I always assumed that normal drops are usually split, and whatever you set the roll at (excellent, rare, etc) its just random.

Yup, but this is more of a quick 1v1-2 farm build, not a 1v4-5 like the other. Do miss martial stance, but it really needs dual wield to get that constant vigor flow, and also I can't get martial stance + calm.

Best 2h is the lava king. So far I have one for my monk (looted. Yay!) but haven't spent the gold on one for my warrior yet -- he's still using the quest spear lol.

I can craft all those blue weapons if you want me to make anything. But the warrior crafting kinda sucks at master level. The looted greens are better than anything crafted :/

One of the hearforgers that adds to wisdom, thats the best staff for monks atm. I'm not sure if I'm going back to Divine at 60 (52 atm) I couldn't stand the fact it took me ages to kill one mob and the stupid CLALPHA asians would always steal my kills >_>

The best staff for monk is the salvation one. The healing one is good too but only give 71 healing and no other stats. I think salvation has 41 healing, 21 stam/wis or something like that. I am looking for good divine monk armor with wis, stam, healing, and spell crits. I think I only see one chest piece from crafted that give those stats. If you like PVP, divine should be better.
