Guys just thought I'd tell you, now that I'm lv 30 I'm thinking of going to toughie's guild. I wanna take this game more seriously, and his guild is filled with players of that caliber. There are a bunch of pple in the PL guild but only about 4 of you are in/over my level range. I don't wanna keep bothering Royce when I need help cause he's the only one that's in the same region as I am :/

And shmoo I'm hell bent on getting my Mage to 60 :p halfway there!!

I just realized each marcasite weapon costs 400-680 currency. I'll have to choose one, bc that is way too much to spend on more than one. I plan to use the weapon to get currency so I won't need the HQ scraps anymore. But dang, there's a lot of materials needed to get to the top.
I wonder if it would make sense to just have a guild crafter or two for cloth/leather/plate and then everyone gives materials when they need something and/or to help speed up the process?
I know Echelong has come along far with the leather. I'm making my way up with the plate. What do you guys think? Cuz the prices are going down in the shop for the finished products. I don't know that it makes sense for all three of use to be making them.

Edit: Actually, I'm close to 400 but ran out of scraps. If anyone can spare a couple of pieces, I can buy a weapon recipe.

I was thinking about this too, it would be a good idea to have 1 or 2 of each dedicated to one crafting area. I would like to volunteer for tailoring since I am almost there with 464 currency (needs 550). As mentioned in my previous post, I craft Black Grenadine Robes (level 14 cloth chest) that needs 28 grenadine, 4 normal scraps, 4 normal yarn (npc sells these). I can buy the yarns myself so if you have the materials you can send them to me and I will send you the crafted piece. Up to you if you want to auction it or just sell to an npc (worth 1silver plus some copper).

I think Eche will be the guild's leather crafter, so sad some people left to join more hardcore levellers hehe. At this point I think Gameloft has not put up much end-game content to play with (I don't see, know, or heard of any instanced dungeons and raid dungeons yet), so I am assuming once you hit 60 you'd go back to the low level maps to build up your crafting.

Lol believe it or not, with higher levels come more areas to explore. I could do all the crafting but the items would be no good for me (mage crafted gear sucks). So don't look at it as me rushing to the cap, it's me eager to explore everything. I'm not reaching the 60 cap anytime soon. It's not gonna be as easy the second half

True, but with work and all that I don't think I can reach 60 within two weeks. :) I'm still at 28. Slow pace during weekdays.

Chat works really well within the guild or a team. So if you're having a convo with someone, just team up. Chatting ia a breeze then. Agree, tho, pming back and forth is not ideal.

the chat system definitely needs to be improved but still better than PL as they have different channels,

other than that, game itself, quests and many things are more enjoyable than PL, you already paid for it so just try it for as least 3 months

No worries, Les....I will be sticking with Arterra's Finest. I don't really take games superserious when real life intervenes, but I figured I'd rather be in a guild where I know all/most all, and if I need to put the game down for a couple of weeks that I can come back and all the cool peeps I have gotten to know from STS will still be around. Plus it seems like we have a good group of people spread across the levels....like when we doubled back to help out Conradin the other day on that quest. Familiarity breeds teamwork in games, be it PL, CoD, OaC, Halo, etc.....

I understand the need to "grow", but not a fan of alliance/guild/clan jumping like this....ffs, we just started a week ago and people are bailing.

Yeah I don't like that everyone's already bailing. One person leaves, another follows, then another. And soon we have no guild. And it's not my guild -- Zojak paid for it and started it. I just like to see it grow, not dwindle.

And btw, the friends list on there is TINY. I'm using the guild to keep in touch with everyone I can't fit on my list. So basically by breaking up the guild, you're ensuring that many of us will likely never even talk again.

This is what I thought it was. Thats why I wondered if we could merge Toughie's guild with ours. Cooperate than Compete. Collaborate than Compete. That way everybody wins and we would have a very wide level range. :)

Can anyone talk to Toughie and lets merge our two guilds? There is I think a member cap, which is 50 members? So I am thinking that only the mains can join the merged guild. I would also volunteer to fund the 5g needed to make this merged guild, should there be a need.

Fueron lvl 25 ranger. I've pmed you 2-3 times after ditching a guild to try and get invite and nvr get response. Fig ither guild leaders were being picky about invs or you didn't see them. Ill pm you again next time I see you n game.

I've spoken to Tough, he said there are no requirements at all, we even have level 10s in our guild, he just wants it to be exclusive, but not to the point where we come out as elitist. He also just doesn't want to invite everyone in the community since he wants it to be a closed type of group. I've already mentioned some people that would be nice to have in, but I needed to ask that question first, do I need to invite the entire guild or just a select few?

And I didn't have authority to invite in this guild, I've always just referred to Red/Les.

I think Toughie wants a guild that has active members (online everyday probably an hour at the least). I guess if I am in his situation, it would make sense to want that.
I am guessing that is why he doesn't want the entire PL community who joined OaC to be in his guild, just the active ones. I can see the logic in that. :)


Darkchylde, can you PM me or post the link of the official OaC forum (when you get home from work)? I won't be able to access it as well since I am at work. :)

Les, I guess we should find out first what is the member cap per guild. You are right in that we should also know how many are in Toughie's guild. :D

I didn't want to keep bothering Royce since he was the only one that'd ever be on the same region and I can't solo the entire time can I? It's really nothing personal. I usually add everyone right away when I see them ask. Chat goes by fast so i may have missed yours. Also, I haven't been playing much on Lesrider lately. My warrior doesn't have administrative powers (unless Zojak wants to give me them).

And here lies the problem. He's all exclusive and we're not, so everyone now wants to be in his guild just because it's so exclusive. It's like wanting to get into a nightclub just bc it's hard to get into.
So one by one (or two by two?), he's pulling more people out of our guild, and I don't think that's a decent thing to do. Soon even the people saying they'll never leave will probably leave. Hell, if enough people leave *I'll* want to leave!

Depending on what the rest think, right now I am just trying to catch up for the time I spent crafting but it looks like I will need to get on to farming HQ armor scraps in order to get the advance level of leather working. Meh all this farming is annoying.

On another note anyone knows if the Master Sargent symbol (if this is what it's called) can be used in leather working? I know this is used to craft a 2h axe that is selling for like 20g now but its bound on pick up so it can't be traded.

Smithing ALWAYS requires ores. The thing that changes between recipes is that armor usually requires armor scraps and weapons don't.

For anyone who wants a set of marchasite armor/sword:

Gloves (lvl 17): 10 marcasite ores, 2 HQ armor scraps, 2 quality flux
Boots (lvl 19): 11, 2, 2
Helm (lvl 22): 13, 2, 2
Chest (lvl 25): 18, 3, 3
2h Sword (lvl 25): 30 marcasite, 3 quality flux.

The flux is on me as long as I'm near a town with the guy the sells it or a mailbox. If you're meeting me somewhere out in the wild with the materials, you may have to provide your flux.

Nope no weapons and no blue items only green. So far leather working sucks and its not worth it I am now working on HQ armor scraps but they are high price on the AH and I have like 400 ordinary furs. Need to get 1,700 more currency to unlock advance.

Anyone knows how much can I ask for a Cloth shoulder pads level 1 with 6 wisdom, 8 spell power and 24 armor? This is a glitched quest item that wasn't bound so its a one of a kind I put it in the AH for 8g and its supposed to be lvl 24+

I sold a couple of swords for 1g each. The helms are selling, too. For some reason the others aren't. Not sure if I put the price too high or just the market is flooded with them. But sometimes I'll sell something after a while and be really surprised. I just put diff prices up there and if any sell, I'll use that as a benchmark. Once I get my warrior to lvl 25, I can start on advanced smithing. Till then, I'm racking up currency points so I don't have to spend days farming like I did so far :p

Edit: When you send me the materials, just tell me which items it's for :)

I haven't the slightest clue what ANYHING is worth. I sell things I don't expect to sell and then others I think are worth something end up going unsold. I think it's hard to tell with new people coming in every day.

As far as anyone can tell, they are just vanity at this point...haven't read or seen in Global Chat anything otherwise.

They sell for a fair amount though, cheapest one I have seen in the AH is like 7-8g buy it now price.

There was a post in the O&C forums regarding exactly this. Monks' trees are at a disadvantage versus the rest. Warriors can go str/stam, rangers/assassins agi/stam or str/agi, mages wisdom/stam or pure wisdom, while monks (military especially) have to focus on str/agi/stam/wisdom.

I'm playing it out as a Military monk, already gotten used to it and I might as well if I'm staying as one at 60. I'm sure AoF is one of the important ones, I'm not sure if they learn another one through the Divine tree though, I think they should since AoF would practically be their only attack.

Elites are okay-ish. They have more HP definitely, not sure on damage though. If I'm not mistaken they give 2x the exp of its normal mob counterpart too!

Yeah I'd definitely agree with pounding, such an awesome skill. I'm not a big fan of the bleed type skills though, since most mobs are pretty much dead after a few skills. Maybe on bosses.

He was on a 2H, polearm I think from the looks of it. I haven't seen a high level use duals yet, mainly 1h/shield or 2h.

I'm lvl 22. I wasn't able to play yesterday too much. Found the helm on one of those fire spiders in the swamp. Totally random and lucky. Although I think the helm that Les can craft is equal or slightly better.

I didn't see them as OP mostly because I was using a lvl 8 dagger till I got the Penumbia or something like that at level 22 because there aren't any daggers from lvl9-20ish for ranger. Now I got 2 blue daggers 25 and 27 and they do wicked damage. Crits going as high as 550 and I don't think that is bad for a lvl 26 ranger and mobs are the same level as me. I still need better gear though.

An elite is usually just an elite version of a normal mob. Sometimes there are special elites, like mini bosses and named mobs.

I actually maxed this and it appears you can use the skill even if you don't have enough morale to strike 4 times. If you only have enough morale to strike 2 opponents, it will still work for just 2 strikes. I really like that feature.

I've seen that Les, in fact I have the same screen shot. I waited there for over 5 minutes and no spawn. Maybe a quest that triggers the spawn? Perhaps trying to steal momma's eggs? :banana:

And about quick strike....regardless on how many people you are attacking, when you activate it, it will only take the amount of morale you can afford; so if you only have enough for 2 enemies, if will only use 2, even if you have lvl 3 or 4. I believe quick strike vs a single target attacks the target more than once as well.

Well I finally found a dang mailbox in the swamps, in Glimmermoor up past the Necromancer Castle.

Les, having just done the Borderan quests (1st swamp town), couple words o' unasked-for advice :p

1. Do not jump of cliffs...try and find actual paths down...you will need them later, there are no shortcuts over climbable walls/cliffs except ONE that I found (comes in handy, I can try and remember where it was and show you).

2. The Snakepeople travel either solo or in packs...whatever you do, unless you are teamed do not attack the 3/4 packs, even with lvl 4 or 5 Courage going and popping some HP pots, I couldn't last even with nearly 1300 armor if I got mobbed when I was solo.

3. Don't try swimming through/under the giant skeleton(s) in the lake. Can't unless you waste a lot of time trying to find a loophole through. Just go around.

yeah the no mail box sucks, I usually use the teleports but they cost quite a lot traveling from town to town and back. You can also grind there there are a few spiders that spawn there and one mac ore also. So you can get a few mats along with exp till the spider spawns but I stayed there for a while and she didn't spawn back.

Already been to Glimmermoor, did a couple of the quests (but not all) and I am trying to finish the worms to get some antivenom or something...not online so I don't really recall. I also have a quest to kill some of the little triceratops-looking guys, at first as I was like "hey those are cute little fellas" and then damn near got whooped when two mobbed me...they actually hit pretty hard.

As soon as you can, put a point into Pin Feet on the Archer skill tree...game changer for archers...freezes them for a few secs and you can unload rapid shot on them. They'll be half-dead before they even get near you, and I unload with Shadow Strike melee on them with two maces and poof dead mob.

Also, if you have put pts into the Weapon Toxicity, make sure to do it every 30 mins, helps out big time.

Getting mobbed by more than one enemy is bad news on the archer though :rolleyes:

A Hunter (maybe same guy) attacked me when I was killing a mob in PVP zone. I ran away from the mob but got kill by him. After I respawn, I tried to kill him but he ran away. Suck thing monk doesn't have any instant cast or dot spell.

Yeah its every man for itself, unless you are grouped I think. If someone is questing and you kill him you get one pvp kill but I find it unfair that you hit someone on the back like that. I don't do that with the exception of the guy I mentioned.

That is what make it a rare spawn. Rare spawn usually drop blue. I killed an elite rare spawn gator and got a blue weapon.

As far as that Silent Hill quest...I just hauled booty through there following the quest arrow and ignored most of the mobs and went for the quest targets. Def go 1H/Shield in that area.

I'm trying to pick em off one by one, but they're everywhere! And they stun/knock me down. I keep having to run to the side after each kill to recoop bc they ALSO cause bleeding, and I lose 50 hp from the bleed. My hp has been getting dangerously close. When I did this quest on my archer, Max helped me. Not sure this is gonna go well solo.

I soloed it, but there are a couple of quests up there and we may be talking about different quests...one of the quests is to kill the head honcho up there, I hauled through there (smacking Courage when I could...when you haul through an area and take damage and take a couple of swipes along the way, you get enough morale to crank it, although I had Warpath near max at that point) and headed for the boss, offensiveshoutchargeswiftstrikewhackwhackwhack and managed to get out. I think I used some of the green HP potions along the way.

I don't think there's a boss quest up there (by the banshees and harpies). If there is, I missed it or haven't gotten it yet. I'm supposed to find an npc or something up there and maybe then I'll get more quests? I don't remember well from my archer. But either way, it's tough to solo with no one else around distracting the enemies. All eyes are on me!

Max swears by his Mage. But I love my warrior. I tried all the classes (even lvled my archer to 22), and I'm having the most fun with him. He's now my main and I'm enjoying the game a lot more now that I don't have to constantly run.

Hmm, I have an mage called Herculean, a warrior called Exiled, and another mage called Venetian. I guess I'll change Venetian to an archer. But wow, people weren't joking when they said it's not like PL where you can pick it up for 5 minutes and then log off. Really bugs me about that unfortunately. I'll play more at night. I remade it at a very early level because I didnt like the profession I had chosen for my character. Just know you cannot mail things to your friends or other alts on different servers. Found this out the hard way after trying to mail some good equipment to my warrior...There is a very happy person named Talon on the whispering islands server that is not mine..:(

He was soloing elite mobs, lower level of course, with ease, nonstop killing, easily 100g+ per hour.

I don't think you'd need the increased attack speed, especially with how spammable your skills are. You'd wanna go for all out damage and skills if your on 2H, IMO.

Warpath would give a warrior almost unlimited Morale with multiple mobs gathered and a 2h weapon with massive damage! :D

I found this out the hard way too! By default my server region is Asia and I created a monk there (level 7). I might delete it to park another character in Greenmont (I'll probably name it Banker lol). :)

If any of you have normal scraps that you don't need kindly send them to Teena (my mage) or Shmoo (my warrior) and I can craft for you some armors that come out of Tailoring. The best I can craft so far is Black Grenadine Armor for level 14 cloth wearers. I'm still at 464 but with 3 more Black Grenadines I can upgrade my skill and buy better stuff.

At some point you get a spell that makes u run really fast for those life and death instances. I have mine upgraded to a 30 sec buff boost so id be super far from enemies and players trying to pick me off in the open pvp zones. If you go Mage, choose then fire skill tree for offense. The ice one is defense mainly and can slow down enemies or freeze them. Really up to preference.

Same goes for Permafrost talent tree. Its seems to be an Earth / Water tree. I get this skill which gives me +1000 armor for 20 seconds, I guess thats the counterpart of your running speed boost skill. I recently got to 33 and when I hit 30, I got to invest on the Permafrost skill which turns a 10-m area around into a Damage Over Time (DoT) are. I use it in combo with my Frost Blast (with 60% chance to freeze), then pop permafrost on the frozen enemies, then pop my armor skill when they break free and start hitting me.

Permafrost (earth / water) talent tree also get Water prison, which accodring to the description, disables enemy skills as well as does 20 damage(+spellpower modifications -enemy frost resistance, I would assume) per second for 8 seconds. This tree also has Rock Spine, which knocks your enemies down and with additional 3 talents, increased crit chance (I think by 45%) and damage (I think 150% damage increase) but I still gotta check the descriptions again. I find both trees good for levelling though. I dunno if Permafrost talent tree has advantage if solo levelling.

Low maintenance is the keyword! You can use the 10-skill slot for potions and food. :D

I'm not giving up on my mage though. When raiding content comes out, both physical and magical damage will come into play.
Some bosses will be immune to physical / magical (or both! but hope to God not.. lol). I agree 100% that if you are new to this game and want to reach end-game content quickly,
warrior is the way to go! :D

So I just finished the quest where I need to get 10 bronze ores,10 grenadiers and 10 of...something else I forgot lol. But anyway, I picked the letter for crafting leather. I think it only affects your attributes and how they increase as you level up. No racial abilities yet. :)

To be honest, I haven't invested in any active skills yet. I don't like having the whole skill menu open bc it blocks so much of the screen. So I've been sticking to the original skills lol. I did that with my archer, too. I like to keep things simple. If the wheel were a bit different, I might add more skills.
Also, none of them sound earth shattering amazing. I'm betting they require more morale than the beginner skills and have longer cooldowns. So, I dunno...still debating. I may wait till I can get one of the higher lvl actives.

What do other warriors think about the other active skills? Isn't it better to pump passive skills that will make your few actives stronger? And that way you don't waste any on skills you may not use much.

I did die bc I was talking with my pug team lol. Got attacked by a group of the snake guys while we were distracted. Brought me back to PL days. Although then we didn't lose money for dying :/

I love Charge! I went guardian tree on my warrior. This maybe a wrong move though since levelling, the offensive tree would make more sense. XD
I can't believe I went defensive trees on my characters lol, Permafrost tree for mage, Guardian tree for warrior.

I think the cool thing about the Guardian tree is we have a talent where our swift strike can attack multiple targets (up to 4 I think). Anyone joined the free unofficial forums of OaC yet?

Digging through the previous pages.. they suggested you unlock warpath and possibly max it out, before deciding to put points in the Guardian talent tree, should you wish to.
Otherwise, go full on the offensive tree and possibly invest in 2h weapon expertise. Plus the suggested talent point to get Charge in guardian, a very cheap but useful warrior skill.

After looking at both trees, I actually think a 50/50 spec might be good in PvE. The rage and damage of a battle, and the defensive skills of a guardian. Not sure though, just theoretical.

The downside is you don't get the "ultimate talent" on either tree. :(

Hmm -- I really didn't think I died much on my warrior for it to be 29 silver already. My elf, yes, but my warrior has only died a few times from carelessness (ie. Not watching my health bar, rushing a boss alone, or chatting while standing in a spawn spot). My elf, however, died 4 times in one spot once (spiders!) and the price, if I recall, was around the same at this lvl.

With runes only. Did the math, it's not THAT expensive. I got the 95 rune package, and it'll cost 60 runes for 10 hours I of 100% + 50% exp boost I think? So leftover 35 runs for another 5 hours extra. Roughly 15 hours of 100% + 50% exp boost, and an excess 5 hours of 50% boost.

Oh that's what you meant, then yes, it resets those too. I respec'd my monk at 20-ish before, and I lost even the Arrow of Faith skill, which was my main built in one.

Ok, I need some tips from warriors. This is my Battle build so far (I put one or two points in guardian). I need to invest 4 more points to get to the next skills in the tree. Please help me decide what to go with. Keep in mind, I like to limit it to few active skills. Are any of the lower lvl ones worth investing in? I don't want to add points into something I won't use. Also, I'm doing this build for the 2h expert, weapons expert, etc. Since I use a 2h weapon most often.

Digging through the previous pages.. they suggested you unlock warpath and possibly max it out, before deciding to put points in the Guardian talent tree, should you wish to.
Otherwise, go full on the offensive tree and possibly invest in 2h weapon expertise. Plus the suggested talent point to get Charge in guardian, a very cheap but useful warrior skill.

This is what I am doing :D put one into Charge, it does come in handy....I will do Offensive Shout (extra damage) then Charge at an enemy and get the first lick in; Charge often knocks them down, so you will have a chance for a Swift Strike on them before they even get back up/counterattack. I put a few into other Guardian skills to unlock Heavy Clash, which gives extra Charge and Pounding Glow damage based on your armor score. I am only lvl 23 and doing 600-700 dmg with a 1H weap sometimes with Pounding Glow. I have Warpath maxed....very handy, converts damage dealt into 25% more morale which helps with the active skills.

Yes, it really is that good :D Buffs your attack power, increasing damage, which if you have Warpath as well will raise your morale noticeably during battles.

I am unlocking Sonic Slash next...seems like a cool skill.

I don't think it even costs morale, I always used it pre-battle before on my warrior.

Ok, so I'm looking at Vortex Blade (needs 25 points in battle to unlock) and I think I really want that and its upgrade. And the weapons master/bull's strength. And Berzerk. THe last skill in both Battle and Guardian both dont sound all that amazing to me. So maybe i could sacrifice some points to put into Guardian? Or should I still pump all Battle in order to get/max those skills?

I just added Offensive Shout. And gonna test out the sidebar for my skills before adding any more active skills. Maybe it's not as bad as I think.

Me myself, am going almost all Battle at this point outside of the several pts I put into Guardian tree to unlock Heavy Clash, to get Sonic Slash up, the 2H Expert, and the off-hand expert in case I dual-wield...although mainly just trying to get enough points to unlock that Vortex skill as well :D

I think the Guardian Tree is more for a "tank", so to speak....although I am digging the attack power of the warrior. I think we are used to think of warriors as PL warriors that are not offensively-minded for the most part, so this is fun to be able to deal some damage.

Woooah Les, you defineitly need and want Offensive Shout and Charge.

Charge is the first offensive dmg skill you will do in every battle. Once you get in range of the enemy (roughly half the range of a bow) use Charge and your warrior automatically rushes to the targets and deals damage + knocks them down. This also happens at a very fast speed.

If you are concerned with morale for Offensive Shout, in PVE, just sit back, start aggro with a bow (so you gain some morale safely) and by the time they get close enough, use Shout, followed by Charge, Quick-attack, Glow = they are dead.

I'm going to do some more testing with Sonic-Slash, it does decent damage and is a ranged attack. I regret pumping the dual wield expert skill, now that I'm using a 2h. That's the only thing I would change about my skills. I got lvl 1 Lacerate for bosses and PVP, it's very cheap in morale and a good back burner skill to do continual bleed damage.

Moog I can't believe you're doing 6-700 dmg with a 1h! My 2h does that on pounding glow. Is all that damage bc of Offensive Shout?

So here's my choice at this point: to get to the next skills in the battle tree, I can either invest in off-hand expert, sonic slash or lacerate. None of them seem worth investing into :(
Is dual wielding ever better than a 2h weapon? It seems better to choose one and stick to it for maximum results. Ahhhhh I hate having to waste points.

After that, I want to max out 2h expert. And Rotor Storm sounds interesting if it's passive (which it sounds like it is).
So.. If I max out 2h expert, seems silly to put points in off-hand or dual wield expert.

Edit: So Beard, you recommend investing in lacerate and/or sonic slash instead of offhand expert? Which one would you say is more useful? Actually, a ranged attack doesn't sound too bad -- maybe I should invest in sonic slash...?

Wow no one seems to be going the ranger way. All of you guys are either warriors or monk and a few mages. Les had one but I think he is gonna level his warrior.

I got my leather working to advance now I am getting the mats to craft and buy recipes in case anyone needs gear just let me know.

EDIT: wow moog 600-700 damage dang. My highest crit so far is 565 and I am 27 with really good daggers now both of them blue items. And vigor doesn't last long; suddenly I know why everyone is leveling a warrior heh.

If you are going 2h, don't invest in any other expertise. I might give dual another shot since I'm already invested there.

I've done simliar damage with Glow with a 1h too. Not sure if I had Shout activated, but I believe it was a critical hit.

Lol guys, I just realized that by investing in Offensive Shout, I have enough to get 2h expert. So I don't need to invest in those other three like I said. So I guess I'll ignore those three? Beard, are either Lacerate or Sonic Slash groundbreaking?

Edit: Just realized, 2h expert doesn't make your hits stronger, just faster. Is that worth investing in? Aren't skills independent of attack speed anyway?
Beard, let me know how you like dual wield before I make my decision :p I haven't even tried dual wield -- I somehow forget I can do it and always ending up liquidating my second weapon whenever I get a better one. So haven't even been able to test it out.

Second Edit (sorry guys, but I really want to get this right): So offhand expert give you 20% bonus dmg on the offhand weapon. 2h expert just gives speed. So wouldn't dual wield offer more dmg overall for both regular attacks AND skills? Bc I don't think attack speed affects skills, does it?
Oh I'm so confused and really wish I had two good 1h weapons on me to compare before deciding :(

I'll need to find a 1h now for dual wield, I just trashed my penumbra. Sonic Slash can do some serious damage and is ranged, so I would put a point there. Lacerate is whatever, nothing spectacular. I'm sure if you invested in the bleeding upgrade for it, it would be good for PVP for long battles.

50 attack power and 10 hit is a pretty big deal.

One thing I didn't like about dual is your auto-attack doesn't work too well. If you have a weapon faster than the other, your attacks won't alternate properly and attack efficiently. I'll give it a go tonight though for a retry. Lvl 3 off hand increases my offhand damage buy 60%.

And I suppose 2h expert isnt that good then, like you said, skills and auto-attack speeds are two different animals. It just sounds like a good match with the warrior battle ultimate though.

If 2h expert increases your swing speed without any penalty to skill damage then it should be a really good talent. It increases damage not by 1 hit but overall. It depends on how much speed is increased but even a 5% would be good.

Yes, with a 1H weap I am doing 600-700 damage on a single enemy...god knows what a 2H weap would be, probably 1000ish, but right now I don't think my armor is high enough to be running around Swamps solo with a 2H....if I was teamed with a monk, maybe. I am not sure if those are crits, but they happen fairly often regardless. Pounding Glow is an AoE skill, so if there are three enemies on you, I saw me do ~200-250 damage to three enemies simultaneously. Part of the damage from PG comes from me having Heavy Clash 2/3...it is a passive Guardian skill, but helps out Attack active skills.

If you increase attack speed you will get more hits in a certain amount of time. If in 10 seconds with a 2h weapon you hit the enemy 4 times and with the skill you hit them 5 times then the increase in damage would mean an almost 20% damage increase. I am sure it has to be lower but its a good skill IMO if you are using 2h weapons mostly and they are the slowest weapons in the game.

EDIT: I looked at the talent of the warrior and wow its a 3% per level meaning you get a 15% speed increase. That is a lot it can mean you can do about 15% more damage especially in longer battles.

The damage isn't as much as a 2h. Even if the damage range is like 10 higher, the 2h blows 1h, and dual damage out of the water. Not sure how it all factors in. Another thing I didn't like about dual is when you use a skill, it uses the damage from the weapon you are attacking with. One of you weapons will always be weaker than the other, and you will lose out on damage there. At the moment I'm killing mobs 5 lvls higher than me bc of the damage from a 2h. A 1h or dual wouldn't be able to do much. I'll probably change my mind by the end of the day though.

Dude(tte)....Offensive Shout will allow you to do more damage....I have tested battles where I purposely did NOT use it, and I used specific attack patterns with and without Shout, and my morale/damage dealt was always better with Shout. You learn the skill with a skill/talent point, but it is upgradeable with spell books, I think I am at lvl 4 or 5 (can't check now). NOT investing at least one point and then upgrading it via spell books would be an epic Warrior fail. Sorry to be blunt :) but you are totally overanlayzing. Just DO IT, ffs, lol.

Not to mention if you have Courage (same, 1 pt into it, then upgrade via spell books) the Shout-dealt damage boost will allow you to cast Courage easier since you will generally have more morale. My Courage regens 110 h/s for 5 secs. When I have dueled someone a few times, it is critical to have Courage, or at least a very nice-to-have.

Elly said in higher levels not may people were dual wield, either 1H/Shield or 2H. The faster 2H attack speed is pretty bueno apparently according to Ech, once upgraded.

Edit: I am gonna skip upgrading Offhand, and focus on upgrading 2H, which is apparently OP.

Thing with attack speed on 2h -- it only affects regular attack, right? Not skills. So is it really as useful as a skill that increases your overall damage?

I prefer skill damage > aspd. From the warriors I've seen, the most they can put in is 1-2 normal hits on a target before it dies, especially with how spammable that "First-skill-of-warrior-Strike" is.

2H for me, definitely.

My impressions are that dual = high attack speeds and critting, while 2H = slow, but massive damage on each swing/skill.
